Message	Inverters are usually rated for a certain amount of watts and your probably over the limit which is making it overheat. The wires from the cigarette lighter are also too small to handle that. The best thing to do is install a proper inverter straight to the battery with an inline fuse. Be careful not to kill your battery though. According to AMS duplication = innovation
